Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru with a satellite office in Pune, is the largest R&D center for Mercedes-Benz Group AG outside of Germany. Key Responsibilities:• Initiate and manage product changes in PDM systems in alignment with the respective system project manager.
• Prepare and coordinate change management activities, including agenda creation, meeting invitations, formal checks of change requests, and identification of critical or problematic issues.
• Lead and moderate change/distribution committee meetings, including effective moderation, minute taking, and handling of change management tools.
• Document resolutions, circulate meeting minutes, and ensure traceability of decisions taken by the change management committee.
• Generate reports for committees in coordination with the system project manager.
• Control, manage decision-making, and generate engineering changes or change bundles as part of the change management process.
• Perform cost assessments for engineering changes and document the same within the respective change bundles.
• Drive timely resolutions based on traffic light status and ensure adherence to defined change management processes.
• Basic experience in product development or engineering documentation within an automotive or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of the product development and change management process.
• Process-driven mindset with strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact across global teams and organizational levels.
• Strong active listening skills and clear articulation of messages in a global platform setting.
• Familiarity with project management processes to work in a structured and efficient manner.
• Proficiency in German language (verbal and written) with a willingness to further enhance language skills (minimum B2/C1 level).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):• Exposure to automotive powertrain systems or assembly-related change management.
• Hands-on experience with PDM systems and change management tools.
• Experience working in global or cross-cultural teams.
• Knowledge of Daimler/Mercedes-Benz processes and systems is an added advantage.
