We are looking for a highly experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead the Finance function at a CFO level . The role requires complete ownership of the company’s financial operations, compliance, governance, and strategic financial management. The CFO will be responsible for managing the finance team, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, strengthening internal controls, and supporting business leadership with accurate financial insights.

Key Roles & Responsibilities


Financial Leadership & Department Management

The CFO will head the entire Finance & Accounts department and be responsible for building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing finance team. The role involves establishing robust financial processes, defining responsibilities across accounting, taxation, audit, and compliance, and ensuring smooth coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders.

  • Managing the complete finance and accounts function
  • Leading and supervising accounting, taxation, audit, and compliance teams
  • Defining SOPs, workflows, and approval hierarchies
  • Ensuring accuracy, accountability, and timely delivery across all finance operations


Accounting, Book Closure & Financial Finalization

The role involves end-to-end ownership of accounting and financial reporting. The CFO will ensure timely closure of books and accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts
  • Preparation and review of Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statements
  • Ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards / Ind AS
  • Review of journal entries, provisions, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Oversight of bank, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations

Internal Audit, Internal Controls & Risk Management

The CFO will be responsible for establishing strong internal audit systems and financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure governance.

  • Designing and implementing internal audit frameworks
  • Developing SOPs and internal financial controls (IFC)
  • Identifying control gaps, financial risks, and process inefficiencies
  • Reviewing internal audit findings and driving corrective actions
  • Implementing risk mitigation strategies across operations

Statutory Audit, Tax Audit & Regulatory Compliance

The role requires complete ownership of statutory and regulatory compliance across applicable laws.

  • Handling statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory audits
  • Ensuring compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and other applicable laws
  • Coordinating with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities
  • Ensuring timely completion of audits and closure of audit observations

Direct & Indirect Taxation

The CFO will oversee all taxation matters, including planning, compliance, and litigation support.

  • Income tax computation, advance tax planning, and filings
  • GST compliance, returns, reconciliations, and audits
  • TDS/TCS compliance and statutory deductions
  • Handling tax notices, assessments, and appeals
  • Ensuring tax efficiency within the legal framework

MIS, Budgeting & Financial Analysis

The role involves providing management with accurate and timely financial insights to support decision-making.

  • Preparation and review of MIS reports and dashboards
  • Annual budgeting and periodic forecasting
  • Variance analysis and cost control monitoring
  • Financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions

Treasury, Cash Flow & Fund Management

The CFO will be responsible for maintaining financial stability through effective cash and fund management.

  • Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
  • Monitoring fund utilization and liquidity
  • Managing banking relationships and credit facilities
  • Ensuring compliance with lender covenants

Corporate Governance & ROC Compliance

The role includes ensuring compliance with corporate governance and statutory requirements.

  • ROC filings and statutory disclosures
  • Supporting Board and management meetings with financial reports
  • Maintaining statutory registers and corporate records
  • Ensuring adherence to governance best practices

Systems, ERP & Process Automation

The CFO will lead finance system improvements and automation initiatives.

  • Overseeing ERP and accounting system implementation
  • Improving reporting accuracy through automation
  • Ensuring data integrity and system-based controls


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Minimum 10+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience handling the entire finance function
  • Strong expertise in accounting, audit, taxation, and compliance
  • Experience managing finance teams at a senior level
