Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of experience in the real estate industry to lead finance, taxation, compliance, and project accounting for large-scale real estate operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting and financial management for real estate projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use).
  • Manage project-wise accounting, cost allocation, budgeting, and revenue recognition (POCM / Ind AS).
  • Handle direct & indirect taxation including Income Tax, GST, TDS, stamp duty, and RERA compliances .
  • Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Manage JDAs, SPVs, LLPs , escrow mechanisms, customer advances, and lender reporting.
  • Support fundraising, bank finance, feasibility studies, and project viability analysis.
  • Prepare MIS, cash-flow forecasts, and financial presentations for senior management.
  • Lead and mentor finance & accounts teams and coordinate with legal, project, sales, and external consultants.

  • Technical Skills

    • Accounting Standards / Ind AS (real estate-specific application)
    • Project Accounting & Costing (land cost, construction cost, WIP, inventory)
    • Revenue Recognition (POCM, completed contract method)
    • GST in Real Estate (ITC, RCM, joint development taxation, leasing GST)
    • Direct Taxation (tax planning, assessments, scrutiny, appeals)
    • Working knowledge of RERA Compliance & Reporting
    • Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash-Flow Management
    • Internal Financial Controls (IFC) & Risk Management
    • ERP & Accounting Systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
    • Advanced MS Excel (financial models, pivot tables, MIS dashboards)

    Desired Profile


    • Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with minimum 15 years’ experience in real estate / infrastructure.
    • Strong exposure to large real estate portfolios and multi-entity/group structures.
    • Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work closely with promoters, lenders, and senior management.

    Preferred


    • Experience with listed entities, REITs, or large developer groups.
    • Exposure to M&A, restructuring, or complex real estate transactions.
