We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef De Partie specializing in Western Cuisine to join our culinary team in Chennai, India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and timely delivery of dishes.

  • Manage and operate a designated section of the kitchen, such as sauces, grills, or pastry
  • Prepare and cook high-quality Western cuisine dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in your section
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies for your station as needed
  • Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste
  • Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, preferably in high-volume or fine dining restaurants
  • Proven expertise in Western cuisine preparation and presentation
  • Proficiency in various Western cooking techniques and methods
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with current food safety certification
  • Ability to work efficiently with various kitchen equipment and tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Creativity and attention to detail in food preparation and plating
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
