About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Casual Chef  to oversee the kitchen and meal preparation at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home . You will also have the opportunity to work at Bethanie's Dalyellup and Elanora Aged Care Homes , also on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals on site, including ordering food.
• Create appetising and nutritious meals using fresh ingredients.
• Assist in menu development.
• Train and manage a small team.
• Cater to special dietary requirements.
• Manage catering for small functions.
• Ensure food safety compliance.

About You:

• Experience as a Chef for large groups, ideally in aged care or similar environments.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Ability to supervise staff.
• Experience in ordering food and waste management.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Knowledge of the Food Act and Food Standards Code.
• Willingness to uphold Bethanie's values and obtain relevant vaccinations (minimum of one covid vaccination and annual flu vaccination).
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply).
