Chef (Part Time)

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team at the YMCA Hostel. The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious and tasty meals for our residents and guests, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.

You will work closely with other kitchen staff to manage food inventory, plan menus, and provide an excellent dining experience. This role requires creativity, time management, and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of meals for hostel residents and guests.
• Managing the relationship between catering staff and Residents, ensuring any incidents or complaints are referred to the Catering Manager
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
