Job Description

• Prepare, cook, garnish, and present food to restaurant standards using a variety of cooking methods.
• Responsible for the preparation of dishes from the tandoor, including naan bread, chaps, and marinated meats as per the menu.
• Recruit, train and mentor other kitchen staff and apprentices in tandoori cooking and other Indian culinary methods.
• Effectively deal with and rectify issues for the smooth operations of the kitchen.
• Monitor stock levels of tandoori and other essential ingredients and order high-quality raw materials to avoid shortages.
• Providing instructions to kitchen staff regarding the proper way of handling cooking equipment and demonstrating different cooking techniques.
