Cheil - General Manager - Retail Store Design

<p>- You will be responsible for the ideation and creation of store environments in all retail channels. </p><p><br/></p><p>- You will explore and conceptualize design options and solutions while working in partnership with the store roll-out team. <br/><br/>- You will create the design strategy, build & evaluate design options, based on the creative brief. Ability to communicate design ideas through sketches, renderings, using various programs. </p><p><br/></p><p>- Focused on both design development and project management. Must be passionate about creating mood boards, specifying material and material research. <br/><br/>- Must be amenable to change and work with accelerated delivery timelines. You must possess excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to maximize the talents of the team<br/><br/>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/><br/>- Space design strategy creation and development<br/><br/>- Design communication with clients and partners <br/><br/>- Design trend and cast research and analyzing<br/><br/>- Execution and production planning and supervision based on the design result <br/><br/>- Conceptualizing and ideating new ideas while maintaining brand language<br/><br/>- Initiate conceptual designs and floor plans <br/><br/>- Creating renderings and models to convey design intent<br/><br/>- Develop CAD fixture and floor plans (schematic design and design drawings)<br/><br/>- Material research and mood board development for store concept<br/><br/>- Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously<br/><br/>- Review and redline Architectural drawing sets and shop drawings for accuracy of design intent and execution<br/><br/>- Partner closely with interdepartmental teams ensure store experience is cohesive<br/><br/>- A Retail Design specialist, who has over the last 18+ years, created retail design solutions. Creative and management experience (required) with a reputed retail design agency or worked in the retail design function of a corporate.<br/><br/>- You should be a strategic thinker who understand brands, client's business and develop insights that solve design challenges. You are a team leader who understands team interaction, roles of team members and is good at managing clients. You have a Bachelors or Master's degree in Architecture or related fields.<br/><br/>Position Requirements:<br/><br/>- Bachelors or Master's degree with a design focus (B.Arch., M.Arch, etc)<br/><br/>- Knowledge in materials and finishes, fixture development, and architectural details<br/><br/>- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop are a must, Microsoft Office Applications, Sketch up and/or Rhino, 3DS Max and Key Shot is a plus<br/><br/>- Strong communication & presentation skills<br/><br/>- Previous experience with retail design is a preferred.<br/><br/>- Self-starter with strong leadership skills</p> (ref:iimjobs.com)
