As a Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) Chief Data Office (CDO) team, you will be part of a group dedicated to creating business impact through the governance and implementation of privacy, protection and storage requirements. Job Responsibilities
Execute the 1st Line of Defense operating model that adheres to firmwide requirements and applicable law. Lead and support programs to support the operating model. Ensure effective execution of requirements, inclusive of regulatory change. Actively partner with the business to deliver required results. Engage in the appropriate committees and forums to provide transparency and collaborate with stakeholders on delivery of initiatives. Assist the business with the design and execution of controls to address business requirements and mitigate risks. Support the business preparing for exams, compliance tests and audits. Provide transparency through governance, reporting and metrics that support the operating model. Refresh and manage governance documentation, including procedures and operating models. Report and escalate data risks, support planning, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
5+ years’ experience within the banking or financial services industry Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements across jurisdictions Experience building and managing programs in regulated financial institutions. Expertise in implementing data related regulatory change and advising on requirements. Demonstrated ability in dealing with varied stakeholder groups. Experience in influencing and implementing change in complex environments. Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in process and product design decisions with geographically dispersed teams. Strategic thinker that can anticipate and resolve issues with a sense of urgency. Ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders as well as technical stakeholders. Exceptional presentation and influencing skills. Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint. Strong leadership and team management skills. Experience in data governance or data risk management within an investment bank or large financial institution.
