As a Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) Chief Data Office (CDO) team, you will be part of a group dedicated to creating business impact through the governance and implementation of privacy, protection and storage requirements. Job Responsibilities

  • Execute the 1st Line of Defense operating model that adheres to firmwide requirements and applicable law. 
  • Lead and support programs to support the operating model. 
  • Ensure effective execution of requirements, inclusive of regulatory change.
  • Actively partner with the business to deliver required results.
  • Engage in the appropriate committees and forums to provide transparency and collaborate with stakeholders on delivery of initiatives.
  • Assist the business with the design and execution of controls to address business requirements and mitigate risks.
  • Support the business preparing for exams, compliance tests and audits.
  • Provide transparency through governance, reporting and metrics that support the operating model.
  • Refresh and manage governance documentation, including procedures and operating models.
  • Report and escalate data risks, support planning, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • 5+ years’ experience within the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
  • Experience building and managing programs in regulated financial institutions.
  • Expertise in implementing data related regulatory change and advising on requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with varied stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in influencing and implementing change in complex environments.
  • Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in process and product design decisions with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strategic thinker that can anticipate and resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders as well as technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional presentation and influencing skills. 
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Experience in data governance or data risk management within an investment bank or large financial institution.
