Job Description

The Chief Engineer is considered a “working supervisor” and is responsible for all working matters under the operations and maintenance of the facilities at CMI’s customer site in Laredo, TX.

Key Job Functions

  • The Chief Engineer is a master level who trains journeyman and apprentice personnel
  • Inspects and has oversight of the Preventative Maintenance program and repairs
  • Details the Critical Equipment Condition Assessment Repair and Reporting
  • Responsible for Boiler repairs including but not limited to seals, repair of leaks, correcting operational deficiencies and issues, replacing motors, controls, sensors, gauges, repairing pipe leaks.
  • Responsible for Pump repairs, including but not limited to leak repairs, seal changes, shaft repairs and replacements, motor replacements, alignments, etc.
