JOB DESCRIPTION-
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and pursue business opportunities in international, domestic retail, and institutional markets.
Formulate and implement short-term and long-term sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Research emerging trends, potential clients, and competitors in the art and handicrafts segment.
Establish new trade partnerships, dealer networks, and distribution channels.
Develop and manage relationships with overseas buyers, importers, galleries, and online global platforms.
Handle export documentation, pricing, logistics coordination, and trade compliance.
Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer–seller meets to promote the brand.
Strengthen brand visibility through participation in art fairs, exhibitions, and B2 B events across India.
Maintain business relationships with key clients and partners.
Conduct regular client reviews and ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service.
Manage negotiations, proposals, and agreements to ensure profitability.
Provide exceptional advisory services to clients on acquisitions, valuations, and investments in art and collectibles.
Prepare annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review.
Monitor sales pipelines, lead conversion rates, and market share growth.
Work with the finance team to ensure timely collections and adherence to payment terms.
Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance visibility through digital campaigns, catalogues, and brand communication.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Business.
10+ years of proven experience in sales/business development within art, handicrafts, (experience with art galleries, auction houses, or heritage sectors preferred).
Proven track record of achieving high-value sales and managing client portfolios.
Strong understanding of art valuation, provenance, and the global art market landscape, trade regulations, and logistics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and basic digital marketing.
Ability to travel extensively (domestic and international).
