Chief of Radiology – Reno, NV Department: Veterans Health Administration Location: VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System, Reno, Nevada Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Overview: The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is seeking a dynamic, board-certified Radiologist to serve as Chief of Radiology . This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee a comprehensive imaging program that supports the care of our nation’s Veterans in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Radiology Service, including diagnostic imaging, interventional procedures, and teleradiology. Supervise a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff. Ensure compliance with VHA policies, Joint Commission standards, and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with clinical departments to optimize imaging services and support patient care. Oversee quality assurance, performance improvement, and strategic planning initiatives. Participate in clinical duties, including interpretation of imaging studies and performance of procedures. Qualifications: U.S. citizenship required. Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution. Board certification in Radiology. Active, unrestricted medical license.
