Chief Operating Officer

Position: Chief Operating Officer / SVP Operations

You are a senior executive responsible for leading and managing the company's operational sites to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and productivity across all locations. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to optimize site performance, drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee manufacturing operations (process development → commercial scale GMP) for small molecules/APIs, drug product.
• Lead scale-up strategy: from early development to commercial manufacturing, including site expansion, capacity build-out.
• Drive operational excellence: supply chain, quality systems (GMP), cost-effectiveness, on‐time delivery.
• Partner with R&D/CMC, quality/RA, business development to align manufacturing operations with client expectations and regulatory compliance.
• Global mindset: ability to manage international operations, client interfaces (US, Europe, Asia).

Required Experience:

• 10 - 15+ years in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing operations (preferably CDMO/CMO or API/drug product manufacturing).
• Proven scale-up experience (clinical → commercial).
• Experience in a service environment (client-facing CDMO or contract manufacturing).
• Understanding of GMP, CMC, process development, continuous improvement.
• Leadership of large teams, cross-functional; P&L responsibility desirable.
