Job Summary:
The MEP Engineer will be responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across the university campus. The role ensures safe, efficient, and uninterrupted functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and fire-fighting systems while supporting campus administration and infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain thorough knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Fire Alarm Systems, Plumbing, and Fire-Fighting systems.
• Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, chiller plants, and filter replacements.
• Maintain electrical systems including lighting, switches, power outlets, fire alarms, security systems, and CCTV infrastructure.
• Manage plumbing systems including STP operations, piping networks, and gas delivery systems for canteen and laboratory areas.
• Ensure adequate ventilation, environmental controls, safety precautions, and preventive maintenance for modern building infrastructure.
• Lead, supervise, and coordinate MEP teams and vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Act as the single point of contact for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across the campus.
• Prepare consolidated daily inspection schedules and implement process-driven checks and balances for smooth equipment operations.
• Provide full operational and technical support to the campus administration department.
• Report to the Deputy Registrar / Assistant Registrar and assist in smooth functioning of campus maintenance and activities.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the University from time to time.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualification
Diploma / ITI / NCTVT in relevant Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing discipline

Professional Certifications
Relevant PWD license (Mandatory)

Professional Experience
• Minimum five (5) years of commercial experience in MEP systems and facilities management.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Experience in managing modern building infrastructure and preventive maintenance programs.

Skills and Competencies
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills across MEP domains.
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple activities effectively.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Multi-skilled individual with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
