Onsite Position As a PCB Layout Designer in Rochester, NY, you will be responsible for working on cutting-edge rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCB designs using advanced techniques and tools. You will collaborate with a skilled engineering team, contribute to real-world mission success, and further develop your skills in an environment that emphasizes precision and creativity. You will be utilizing design software provided by the company to modify, review, and validate PCB design packages for various types of printed circuit boards.

Use Mentor PADS software to integrate schematic, mechanical, and manufacturing inputs into new or updated rigid, flex, and rigid-flex designs.
Collaborate with a diverse design team to address any fabrication, assembly, or testing issues identified through Valor NPI checks.
Update design files and documentation to reflect changes in schematics, BOMs, detail drawings, etc., while maintaining proper PLM file organization.
Ensure the integrity of PCB design packages by confirming alignment of schematic, BOM, mechanical, PCB layout, and assembly. Requirements:
Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Graduate Degree and at least 2 years of related experience. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with PLM tools like Agile or Teamcenter.
Knowledge of PCB design components including schematic, BOM, mechanical aspects, fabrication, assembly, and associated documentation.
Familiarity with PCB design software such as PADS, Xpedition, Cadence, Valor, etc.
