Civil Drafter

The Civil Draftsman will be responsible for preparing high‑quality RCC drawings for industrial structures, foundations, buildings, and infrastructure components. The role requires strong knowledge of industrial project detailing standards, proficiency in drafting tools, and the ability to coordinate with design engineers.

Key Responsibilities

1. RCC Drafting & Detailing

• Prepare detailed RCC drawings including foundations, pedestals, columns, beams, slabs, trenches, drains, culverts, retaining walls, and industrial floors.
• Draft general arrangement drawings (GA) , reinforcement detailing, bar bending schedules (BBS), and section drawings.
• Ensure reinforcement detailing complies with IS codes and project standards.

2. Industrial Project Focus

• Prepare structural drawings for industrial buildings , pipe racks, equipment foundations, tank foundations, pump houses, conveyor structures, and utility structures.
• Interpret equipment layout, piping layout, and mechanical GA drawings to develop accurate foundation and RCC detailing.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with structural engineers to incorporate design changes, clarifications, and redline markups.
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and piping teams to avoid clashes and ensure integrated design.
• Update drawings based on site feedback, RFI responses, and engineering revisions.

4. Quality Compliance

• Maintain drawing accuracy, proper dimensioning, clear annotations, and standardized drafting practices.
• Ensure drawings adhere to applicable codes, including IS 456, IS 3370, IS 13920, and relevant industrial standards.
• Follow company CAD/BIM standards, layering norms, title block standards, and document control procedures.

5. Documentation & Deliverables

• Prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for construction execution.
• Create As‑built drawings after site verification.
• Manage drawing revision history and maintain proper filing of drawings and documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering or Draftsmanship.
• 3–10+ years of experience in RCC drafting for industrial projects (manufacturing plants, chemical plants, refineries, warehouses, utilities, etc.).
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting essential).
• Knowledge of RCC fundamentals, drawing reading, and reinforcement detailing.
• Ability to understand engineering calculations, structural notes, and design sketches.
• Familiarity with industrial engineering workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
