Civil Engineering Technician

Acira Consultancy Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to support civil engineering projects across planning, design, and construction phases. The successful candidate will assist engineers with technical tasks, site coordination, and documentation to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in compliance with Australian standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist civil engineers with the preparation of plans, drawings, and specifications
2. Conduct site inspections, surveys, and field investigations
3. Collect, analyse, and record technical data related to civil works
4. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards
5. Prepare technical reports, schedules, and progress documentation
6. Assist with cost estimates, material quantities, and project documentation
7. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
8. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and environmental requirements
9. Support quality control and assurance processes on-site

Skills and Qualifications

1. Minimum 1 year of experience in a civil engineering or technician role
2. Relevant qualification such as Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
3. Knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and standards
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
5. Familiarity with Australian Standards and WHS requirements
6. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
7. Good communication and teamwork abilities
8. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D) preferred
