Job Title: Civil Superintendent - Multifamily ConstructionEmployment Type: Full-TimeReports To: Senior Project Manager/Director of Construction


Position OverviewWe seek an experienced Civil Superintendent to lead ground-up multifamily construction projects from site development through final completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects meet quality standards, safety protocols, and aggressive timelines while maintaining budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities


  • Site Management: Oversee all civil aspects including excavation, utilities, grading, and stormwater systems for multifamily developments


  • Schedule Adherence: Develop/master 3-week look-ahead schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain progress tracking system


  • Quality Control: Enforce construction document compliance, conduct inspections, and manage punch list processes


  • Safety Leadership: Implement OSHA-compliant safety programs and conduct daily site safety audits


  • Stakeholder Coordination: Lead weekly progress meetings with owners, architects, and engineers


  • Budget Oversight: Manage general conditions costs, labor efficiency, and material procurement


  • Team Supervision: Direct field staff, subcontractors, and specialty trades while maintaining labor ratios


  • Document Control: Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reporting


  • Problem Resolution: Address design conflicts, schedule delays, and site logistics challenges
  • Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor's in Construction Management/Civil Engineering or equivalent experience


  • Experience: 5-10 years supervising land development tasks for homebuilding and multifamily projects ($20M-$100M+)

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Procore, Primavera P6, or equivalent construction software

  • Advanced knowledge of SWPPP, building codes, and civil engineering standards

  • Ability to interpret civil site plans and MEP coordination drawings

  • Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, SWPPP Manager (preferred)
  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to navigate active construction sites daily

  • Lift 50+ pounds when necessary
