Claims Coordinator Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position: OST Inc. is looking for an organized and proactive Claims Coordinator to support our FEMA contract within our National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Claims department. This remote position is integral to our claims team, focusing on adjuster registration and ensuring timely and accurate processing of adjuster applications.   • : Oversee the Adjuster email box in Microsoft Outlook and handle data entry for the NFIP Adjuster Registration and the Flood Adjuster Capacity Program (FACP)
  • Review adjuster applications and process attendance rosters from NFIP presentations
  • Engage in frequent email correspondence with stakeholders, answering queries and providing guidance
  • Generate and distribute Flood Control Number (FCN) Cards to authorized adjusters
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and SharePoint for various tasks; assist in updating adjuster presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Produce reports on adjuster registration processes and provide recommendations during meetings
  • Provide support for updating technical documents and desktop procedures related to the adjuster registration process
  • Be available for travel during major flooding events for emergency adjuster authorizations (as needed)
  • Assist the team with various tasks and contribute to meeting the department’s goals
  • Position Requirements:
  • Two years minimum experience in claims processing, adjuster registration, or a similar field
  • Associate Degree 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Capable of updating and managing technical documentation.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and analytical abilities
  • Experience working with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, flexible, and proactive
  • Very occasional travel may be required
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance 
  • US Citizen
  • Nice to Have: 
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Power Automate
  • This is a full-time position paying a base salary, and full benefits, and has possible bonus potential based on merit and performance.
