SEN Classroom Assistant – Secondary


Location: Durham
Pay: £85-100
Contract: Full-time/Part Time

Confident supporting older pupils with additional needs?

This SEN school supports secondary-aged pupils with autism, SEMH, and complex needs. As an SEN Classroom Assistant, you’ll help pupils stay engaged, regulated, and supported throughout the school day.

What you’ll be doing:



  • Providing in-class and small group support


  • Supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing


  • Helping pupils follow routines and expectations


  • Being a consistent, trusted adult in the classroom


    • Ideal for someone who:



  • Has experience with SEMH or autism


  • Is calm, resilient, and emotionally aware


  • Enjoys building strong relationships over time
