Job Description

  • Institutional Client Focus
  • Global Asset Manager
  • Newly Created Role

Platinum Pacific Partners is delighted to be partnering with a global investment manager with a boutique, high-performing presence in Sydney, supporting institutional, wholesale, and retail clients. Following a period of sustained global growth, the firm is continuing its international expansion, with Australia playing a strategic role as a hub for growth. The firm is seeking a Client Support Manager to join their growing team in a newly created role. This broad, client-facing position is predominantly focused on institutional clients and is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and wants to make a tangible impact in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Your role will focus on supporting institutional clients across service, reporting, data management, research, and marketing initiatives, while providing proactive support to the distribution team. Although you will be working closely with senior distribution professionals, this is not a sales or business development role. The focus is on client relationship management, operational support, and ensuring institutional clients’ needs are met efficiently and professionally. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders including investment specialists, operations, compliance, and marketing, as well as external partners such as custodians, administrators, and consultants.

This is an opportunity to develop your expertise in institutional client servicing, relationship management, and operational processes, while contributing to the continued growth of a premium, sustainability-focused investment business with Australia at the centre of its global ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary client contact for institutional clients, building trusted relationships across operational, governance, and external vendors.
  • Manage and resolve client queries efficiently and professionally
  • Coordinate due diligence questionnaires, RFPs, and reporting requests with internal stakeholders
  • Support the distribution team with research, fund comparisons, and analytical insights
  • Maintain CRM data, mailing lists, and client records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with client communications, presentations, webinars, and on-site meetings
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure awareness of local regulatory changes
  • Contribute to process improvements, operational efficiencies, and ad-hoc projects

Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary qualification in business, finance, marketing, or a related field
  • 4–7 years’ experience in fund management, ideally across institutional client service or sales support
  • Strong understanding of investment products, fund structures, and the financial services market
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for working in a boutique, high-performing culture with exposure to global teams

If you meet the above qualifications and would like to explore this opportunity confidentially, please apply via the link or contact Liam Bourke [email protected] at Platinum Pacific Partners.
