Overview

ISLHD is seeking experienced, compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic clinical coders to work as part of a team. The role involves coding inpatient episodes of care across all ISLHD facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Code inpatient episodes of care within ISLHD facilities using the current edition of ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and the Australian Coding Standards to meet Activity Based Funding (ABF) targets and ISLHD reporting timeframes; provide data for research, planning and financial management.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category B role.
  • The successful applicants will sit a coding test and will need to code 6 episodes of care within one hour.

Position details
