Position Summary
The Child Psychologist provides psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention services for children and adolescents, often in collaboration with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams. The role may include clinical service delivery, teaching, research, and supervision of students or trainees, depending on the university’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Professional Services
- Provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents using evidence-based practices
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy
- Develop and implement intervention and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with ethical and legal standards
- Consult with parents, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals
- Provide crisis intervention and referrals when necessary
