JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer - AWS IoT to join our team in Jalisco, Guadalajara, MX, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Architecture & Engineering

  • Design, build, and operate cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Implement and manage data-focused AWS services including Glue, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, SageMaker, S3 data lakes.
  • Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker & Kubernetes.
  • Configure cloud networking components.
  • Deploy and automate infrastructure using Terraform with advanced modules.

    • 2. Automation & DevOps

  • Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
  • Integrate cloud security controls and automated compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.

    • 3. Cloud Security & Compliance

  • Implement IAM, encryption, firewalls, and secure networking.
  • Monitor environments using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA.

    • 4. Data & Analytics Infrastructure

  • Build and operate serverless and data lake environments using Glue, Athena, EMR, Lambda, Lake Formation.
  • Support ML workloads using SageMaker.
  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services and/or Python.

    • 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with product, data, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Participate in design reviews and solution delivery meetings.
  • Provide technical mentorship.

    • Required Qualifications:

  • 4–8 years of Cloud Engineering experience.
  • Strong AWS hands-on experience.
  • Deep experience with Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking & security.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Hands-on with CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with monitoring tools.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with Glue, Athena, and SageMaker.

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications.
  • Multi-cloud exposure.
  • Experience with hybrid clouds.
