Responsibilities
  • Builds and maintains secure cloud infrastructure across platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Implements cloud security controls including firewalls, IAM policies, encryption, and secure networking.
  • Automates cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation with security embedded.
  • Monitors cloud environments for threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance violations using SIEM and cloud‑native tools.
  • Collaborates with cybersecurity teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud operations.
  • Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001) in cloud configurations.
  • Conducts regular security assessments and penetration testing of cloud resources.
  • Responds to cloud security incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Keeps cloud systems updated with the latest patches and security enhancements.
  • Educates teams on secure cloud practices, promoting a DevSecOps culture.
  • Individuals understand their own area and are able to perform all facets of their role.
  • They have experience in most issues that may arise, although require guidance with new assignments or assignments outside normal scope of work.
  • They manage projects with oversight from their supervisor.
  • Acts as the technical owner of multiple modules within the Cloud Solution system.
  • Analyzes and recommends solutions and technology to achieve clients’ needs.
  • Recommends changes in procedures providing clear and concise information on request.
  • Leads the design and development of at least one module: Asset, Accelerator, Point Solution or Differentiator, for owned Business Area.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
  • Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
  • Strong experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Ansible).
  • Experience with hybrid or multi‑cloud environments.
  • Ability to coach junior members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
