Cloud Finops Specialist (GCP)

We are looking for a passionate and talented FinOps Specialist to join our pioneering team and help shape the future of cloud financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Cost Analysis & Optimization Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on GCP cloud consumption and spending. Identify and implement cost-saving measures through rightsizing, resource scheduling, and leveraging commitment-based discounts (CUDs). Develop and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts for cloud spend.
• FinOps Strategy & Governance Perform core FinOps functions, including cost allocation, showback, and chargeback to various business units. Develop and enforce cloud cost governance policies and best practices. Create and manage budgets, set alerts, and proactively identify potential cost overruns.
• Process Improvement Drive the continuous improvement of our FinOps practice by evaluating and implementing new tools and processes. Automate cost management and reporting tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in a technology-focused role, with a strong emphasis on cloud environments.
• Proven expertise as a FinOps Specialist or in a similar cloud financial management role.
• Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and pricing models.
• Solid knowledge of Enterprise Architecture principles and the ability to recommend cost-effective design patterns.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into actionable insights.

Desirable Skills

• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or other relevant industry certifications.
• Experience with third-party cloud cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Flexera, Apptio Cloudability).
• Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.
