Cloud Ops Engineer for our banking client in Chennai

Cloud Ops Engineers :

Cloud Ops Engineers build and maintain the foundational cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. They work closely with DevOps and architects to provision and manage cloud resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage VMs, storage, networking, and Kubernetes clusters in GCP.
• Automate provisioning using Terraform and CI/CD tools.
• Support infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting (Stackdriver, Prometheus, etc.).
• Troubleshoot cloud services, IAM policies, network routes, and deployments.
• Define and enforce cloud IAM, encryption, firewall, and DLP policies.
• Collaborate with cloud and security teams to ensure compliance and resilience.
• Implement cost optimization strategies (rightsizing, autoscaling, spot/preemptible instances).

Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP & Azure).
• Strong skills in Terraform, shell scripting, or Python.
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), GitLab/GitHub Actions.
• Experience in configuring VPCs, subnets, load balancers, firewalls, etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Linux system administration.
• Experience with FinOps tools (CloudHealth, Kubecost, Apptio) and native billing APIs.
