We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. The role focuses on embedding security into cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevSecOps pipelines while proactively managing risks, threats, and compliance requirements. This position works closely with architecture, DevOps, and engineering teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the cloud and application lifecycle.

💼 Role: Cloud Security Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
  
• Define, enforce, and continuously improve cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
  
• Implement security controls using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to ensure secure, compliant, and repeatable deployments.
  
• Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM), encryption, key management, and network security controls.
  
• Monitor cloud environments using native and third-party security tools, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
  
• Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines and application development workflows following DevSecOps principles.
  
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses for cloud workloads.
  
• Support container and Kubernetes security hardening initiatives.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into system architecture and cloud operations.
  
• Document cloud security architecture, incident response procedures, and compliance evidence.
  
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including secure configuration of compute, storage, and networking services.
  
• Proven experience implementing cloud security controls using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  
• Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals including IAM, encryption, network security (VPC/VNet, subnets, VPN), and logging/monitoring.
  
• Experience with cloud-native security tools such as AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Azure Security Center, or equivalent.
  
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and cloud security benchmarks (e.g., CIS).
  
• Experience with vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response in cloud environments.
  
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and security tooling.
  
• Exposure to container security and Kubernetes hardening is a strong advantage.
  
• Experience with secure backup, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies in cloud platforms.
  
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
