CloudOps Engineer - GOV2

We are looking for an experienced CloudOps Engineer to join our XOps department to manage and optimize our AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure. The role will also require a good understanding of FinOps to help monitor and control cloud spending effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud environments across AWS and Azure .
• Manage cloud resources and services to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning using Terraform , CloudFormation , or ARM templates .
• Monitor cloud usage and performance; optimize cost and resources.
• Implement FinOps best practices for cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with teams to recommend and enforce cloud cost-saving strategies.
• Work with security teams to ensure cloud compliance and secure configurations.
• Provide support for cloud incidents and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services.
• Proficiency in Terraform , Bicep , or similar IaC tools.
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools like CloudWatch , Azure Monitor , Datadog , etc.
• Understanding of FinOps principles and experience using tools like CloudHealth , Cloudability , or AWS Cost Explorer .
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect , Azure Administrator , or FinOps Certified Practitioner .
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud strategies.
