CNC Laser Operator

The Laser Operator is responsible for operating CNC laser cutting equipment to cut metal materials according to engineering drawings, work orders, and production schedules. This role supports fabrication operations by ensuring parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and safely while meeting quality standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting machines to cut steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials as required. Load and unload raw material sheets using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment as applicable. Interpret and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and cut lists. Verify material type, thickness, and dimensions prior to cutting. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
