CNC Machinist - Setup & Operation (2nd Shift)

Job Description Job Description MMI Engineered Solutions is searching for an experienced CNC Set-up Operator to join our 2nd shift team! This low-volume, high-mix role requires someone who can confidently perform full setups on CNC mills and lathes. You'll work with larger blocks and workpieces, handle tooling and offsets, and run first-piece inspections - making sure every part meets our high standards. Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm Key Responsibilities: Start CNC machines and observe operations to verify specifications are met. Handle and position stock/work pieces using vices, jaws, and hand tools. Perform in-process inspections with gauges, micrometers, and dial indicators. Perform insert and cutting tool changes to support CNC operation. Ensure all tooling produced meets or exceeds customer expectations. Stop machining immediately if quality or safety concerns arise.
