Other duties may be assigned. •Setup and operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to produce machine parts by performing the following duties with no direct supervision. •Reviewing work orders, engineering drawings, surface locations, machining parameters; interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances. •Under no supervision sets tool registers and offsets; calculates requirements using basic math. •Under no supervision, sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers. •Maintains specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts to close tolerances; adjusting offsets; replacing tooling. •Understands and interprets ...
