CNC Operator, Manufacturing Team Hayward, CA (on-site) We build humanoid robots that work alongside people to solve labor shortages and create abundance. The Role We are seeking a CNC Operator to join our Manufacturing Team and directly support the production of mission-critical hardware for humanoid robots. In this hands-on role, you will operate CNC machines, assist with setups, and ensure high-quality part output through inspections and process checks. You will collaborate closely with programmers and engineers, gaining exposure to advanced workflows. This position plays a key role in scaling our in-house manufacturing capabilities. You Will Operate CNC machines, including part loading, monitoring, and process checks Assist with setup tasks and perform basic fixture alignment Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges Record part data, identify potential quality issues, and support troubleshooting Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Communicate effectively with programmers and the broader manufacturing team Must Have 1-3 years of experience as a CNC Operator or hands-on machining shop exposure Strong mechanical intuition and experience working with aluminum and stainless steel Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret basic GD&T Familiarity with G-code and in-process quality control checks Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on safety, organization, and reliability Experience with CAMWorks, Fusion 360, or Siemens NX workflows Familiarity with Heidenhain controls and CNC machines Experience with probing, tool changes, and fixture setup Interest in growing into CNC programming or process development Interview Process Submit Application 30-minute introductory call with a member of the Recruiting Team Virtual / On-site Interview with members of the CNC Team Virtual Interview with the Head of Machining Our goal is to complete the entire process within one week.
