Job Description Job Description ILG is seeking a Saw Machine Operator . The primary responsibility of a Sawyer and Machine Operator is to cut, shape and polish stone slabs. This is done by operating Bridge Saws and other types of fabrication machinery. All work performed must be done in a workman like manner to meet quality and production expectations on a daily basis. This position reports directly to the Shop Manager. Key elements for this position: • Operate bridge saws to cut to shop drawings and specified layouts. This includes cutting lamination strips, color and vein matching each piece to be cut • Operating profiling machines to shape and polish specified edge details • Cut and polish sink holes to templates • Grind and polish edges with portable power tools • Fill small chips and perform touch ups • Seal natural stone after fabrication • Self inspect work upon completion • Responsible to meet quality expectations set forth by the Shop Manager for all work performed. • Responsi...
