Job Summary
Sterling Engineering is partnering with a confidential manufacturing client in Henrico, VA to identify a skilled Machine Programmer / Set-Up professional. This role supports production operations by programming, setting up, and operating CNC and automated machinery used in the fabrication of aluminum and steel components with tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, adjust, and efficiently operate CNC and automated machines to perform complex machining operations with close tolerances
- Machine aluminum and some steel materials with varying dimensions, contours, and finish specifications
- Calculate and set machining parameters including speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut
