Responsibilities: Operates computer numerical controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup through production to create precision metal parts and tools. May also operate additional machines such as a horizontal boring mill and CNC vertical or horizontal lathes. Performs layout work and sets up machine tools as needed. Reviews blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine required dimensions, tolerances, operational sequences, and setup procedures. Reads and interprets all drawings, including those with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
