CNC Setup Operator / Nights
3rd Shift Syracuse, New York Hours: 10:30 pm to 6:30 am.
Pay Rate: $24.95 / hour
Job Description
Plan and perform a wide variety of setups and machining operations on all machine shop equipment, including engine lathe, vertical turret lathe, radial drill press, spindle drill press, shaper, surface grinder, horizontal and vertical milling machines. Use all necessary machine attachments, select tools, feeds and speeds according to material and finish requirements. Square up and layout production run or special castings for machining operations to fairly close and close tolerances.Work with a variety of metals such as steel, iron, brass, bronze and aluminum. Layout, machine, fit and assemble jigs and fixtures to facilitate own work. Determine operation sequences, make computations for use of dividing head, angles, tapers, fits and assembly.
