JD for Co-Founder (Strategic Finance & Growth)


About the role: We are looking for a strategic finance operator to serve as the commercial backbone of the company — overseeing capital allocation, pricing, investor strategy, and financial governance. This role will partner closely with the existing founder, a seasoned logistics operator with deep experience in scaling large networks and running complex ops at national scale (ex-Delhivery, Amazon), to drive discipline, scale, and commercial strength.


This role will largely focus on:

  • Financial strategy and investor readiness
  • Pricing and revenue design
  • Working capital discipline and treasury ops
  • Strategic partnerships and commercial ownership


Core responsibilities:


1. Strategic finance & controls

  • Own company-wide financial model, unit economics, and pricing frameworks
  • Set up and evolve working capital management systems (collections, payouts, treasury)
  • Build internal controls for high-volume, low-margin ops (payment cycles, margins, fraud risk)
  • Build dashboards for P&L tracking, cohort-wise margin view, and customer profitability


2. Commercial strategy & pricing

  • Co-own pricing strategy across lanes, customers, and verticals
  • Evaluate and design incentive structures for city ops and sales teams


3. Investor relations & fundraising

  • Co-lead fund raising activities for the company (collaterals, operating plans) with existing founder
  • Liaise with investors on performance tracking, projections, and reporting


4. Cross-functional growth partner

  • Drive goal-setting across sales, network design, and operations
  • Identify margin improvement levers across sourcing, pricing, utilization
  • Lead business reviews with cross-functional teams and define KPIs


Candidate profile:

  • 7–12 years of experience in B2B / logistics / infra ops businesses
  • Experience across FP&A, business finance, P&L management, and pricing
  • Bonus: exposure to investor relations, fundraising, or early-stage scaling
  • Pedigree: CA/MBA from Tier 1 institute (SRCC, IIMs, ISB, IITs), or equivalent
  • Experience as a strategic finance partner in founder-led teams or high-growth companies (e.g., Delhivery, Freight Tiger, Infra.Market, Zetwerk)
  • Operates well in ambiguity; builds systems from scratch
