Designation (Role in organization) Coating Machine Operator<br />
Primary Role Production - Coating Section<br />
Location Taloja -MIDC , Panvel,Raigad<br />
<br />
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation: </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">● Operate and monitor high-speed coating machines as per SOPs and job cards.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">● Set machine parameters, such as fi lm weight, line speed, oven temperature, and viscosity.<br />
● Responsible for the drying oven performance and basic maintenance.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">● Monitor the machine throughout the shift to ensure consistent output and minimal downtime.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">Material Handling:<br />
● Handle various types of metal and aluminum substrates, including scroll sheets, ensuring safe and correct loading/unloading.<br />
● Maintain logs for all lacquers and coating materials used, including batch numbers, manufacturers, date of manufacture, and expiry dates.<br />
Quality Control:<br />
● Ensure the coated sheets meet quality standards including uniform coating, proper drying, and absence of defects.<br />
● Coordinate with QA for inspection and testing.<br />
● Identify coating defects (e.g., pinholes, color inconsistency) and take corrective actions promptly.<br />
● Make process adjustments to address coating or registration issues.<br />
Documentation & Reporting:<br />
● Record all process parameters including hourly fi lm weight (wet/dry), viscosity, oven temperature, and line speed.<br />
● Log material consumption and inform management in writing about any operational issues or deviations.<br />
● Submit shift reports and defect records.<br />
Safety & Housekeeping:<br />
● Strictly follow all safety procedures, especially when handling hazardous or fl ammable lacquers and solvents.<br />
● Keep the work area and surrounding areas clean and clutter-free at all times. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">● Report any accidents, near misses, or equipment hazards immediately.<br />
Collaboration & Training:<br />
● Work closely with QA and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.<br />
● Assist in resolving raw material and logistics issues during the shift.<br />
● Train and guide assistant operators and new joiners on machine operation and safety practices. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">Education ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Printing Technology, Surface Coating, or equivalent.<br />
<br />
Ideally 5 years of experience in operating coating machines in metal decoration or related industry.<br />
Skill Requirements<br />
Familiarity with diff erent types of lacquers and coatings used in metal printing.<br />
Experience working with various substrates like tinplate, aluminum, scroll sheets.<br />
Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot production issues. Working knowledge of KBA Metal Coat 470 machine is a strong advantage .<br />
Good communication and teamwork skills.<br />
Work Environment:<br />
Factory fl oor environment. Will be required to work in shifts, including night shifts and extended hours when needed.<br />
Location : The candidate should reside within a commutable distance from the factory location-Taloja MIDC</span><br /> </p>
