Coding & Robotics Instructor (West Singapore)

We are looking for a dedicated Main Instructor (supported by an Assistant Instructor) to lead a non-competition Robotics CCA group for secondary school students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an engaging and well-paced mBot2 robotics programme using mBlock 5 for Secondary 2 students
• Facilitate hands-on activities and guide students through building and coding tasks
• Work closely with the Assistant Instructor and Code Gakko team (lesson plans and materials will be provided)
• Manage a small class and maintain a safe, positive and focused learning environment
• Take attendance and provide basic feedback to the Code Gakko team where required
• Follow the school's and Code Gakko's guidelines, expectations and classroom management procedures

• Level: Secondary 2
• Group Type: Non-Competition Robotics CCA
• Estimated Class Size: ~12 students
• Role: 1 × Main Instructor (you) + 1 × Assistant Instructor
• Platform / Software: mBot2 using mBlock 5 (Makeblock)
• Day / Time: Tuesdays, 3:00pm – 5:00pm
• Programme Period: 1 February 2026 – 30 September Sessions)
• Location: Government secondary school in the West region (Jurong West area)
• Job Type: Part-time / Contract / Freelance
• Expected Start Date: 4 February 2026

Pre-requisites

• Must be MOE-registered (IRS)
• Minimum 2 years of coaching or teaching experience in robotics using mBot / mBot2 or similar platforms, preferably with upper primary / secondary students
• Confident in using mBlock 5 (Makeblock 5) as the main coding platform
• Comfortable managing a class independently, with support from an Assistant Instructor
• Able to commit on Tuesdays, 3:00pm – 5:00pm, for the full programme period (Feb–Dec 2026)
• Able to interact with students in an engaging, patient and professional manner
