About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Collections Officer to join a reputable and growing non-bank lender as part of their Adelaid based team. In this role, you will manage overdue customer accounts, ensuring prompt payments for our secured and unsecured loan portfolios.

Role & Responsibilities:
Your role will be essential in overseeing collection activities, aiming to maximise recoveries while providing exceptional customer service.
Assess customers' financial situations and find practical solutions that help bring accounts back into good standing.Develop tailored payment plans, negotiate debt agreements, and manage tasks such as skip tracing and bankruptcy petitions, working alongside external collections agencies to resolve outstanding accounts.Maintain thorough, up-to-date records of all communications, payment arrangements, and actions taken for each account.Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and senior management to ensure a seamless and collaborative service delivery.Skills and Experience:
Ideally 1-2 years of experience within financial services or banking.Proven experience in managing a portfolio of overdue accounts, with the ability to assess customer financial situations and implement solutions.Good understanding of both secured and unsecured loans.Strong stakeholder management and exceptional written and verbal communication.Experience with secured loan facilities, litigation matters, and a solid understanding of legal processes.Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as the NCCP Act, Privacy Act, ASIC Regulatory Guides.
