Role: Command Center Operator – Level 1 (NOC Operations)

Experience Range: 3 – 5 Years

Location: Vizag



Must-Have:


Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring:

Continuous “eyes on glass” monitoring of dashboards, email alerts, hotline, and chat channels.

Alert Management:

Perform initial troubleshooting of alerts from monitoring tools, batch/file transfer tools, and scripts.

  • Escalate unresolved or high-impact incidents to L2/L3 teams.
  • Hotline Management:
  • Handle and assist with calls received on the hotline.
  • Incident Logging & Triaging:
  • Log, triage, and remediate incidents per SOP.
  • Open incident bridges for P1/P2/high-impact P3 incidents.
  • Major Event Management:
  • Coordinate during disaster recovery (DR), major releases, or new product rollouts.
  • Production Readiness:
  • Manage daily/weekend readiness calls and communications.
  • Batch/File Transfer Management:
  • Monitor batches and file transfers, triage failures, and escalate as needed.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain all L1 support documentation in ServiceNow, Confluence or/and SharePoint.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare weekly team performance reports, support KPIs, and identify improvement areas.
  • Shift Management:
  • Maintain logs and ensure smooth shift handovers.
  • SOP-based Resolution:
  • Follow SOPs for incident resolution and escalate when required.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate outages and critical issues to stakeholders promptly.
  • Tool Usage:
  • ServiceNow, SolarWinds, PowerBI, Control-M, MoveIT, Azure, Rubrik.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Experience in network operations, application L1 support, and incident management.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, SolarWinds,etc).
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure components: compute, storage, network, databases, middleware, and cloud platforms.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication for stakeholder updates and hotline management.
  • Problem-Solving:
  • Ability to follow SOPs and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Tools Knowledge:

Hands-on experience with Control-M, MoveIT, Azure
