Description of Key Job Duties
- Lead and manage end-to-end bidding activities , including bid strategy, tender preparation, submission, clarification, competitive analysis, and final negotiation.
- Represent the company in client-facing commercial negotiations , ensuring competitive and profitable terms for APAC energy storage (ESS/BESS) projects.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial and technical contracts , ensuring compliance, profitability, and effective risk control.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product teams to develop commercially viable proposals and ensure alignment across all functions.
- Assess commercial, financial, and contractual risks for each opportunity and recommend mitigation actions.
- Support opportunity qualification and deal structuring by providing commercial insights in early project stages.
- Maintain and continuously improve commercial templates, pricing models, and bid processes to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
- Participate in customer engagements , including meetings, presentations, and negotiation discussions throughout the sales cycle.
- Manage internal approval processes from bid initiation to contract signing, ensuring timely cross-functional alignment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in commercial management, contract negotiation, bid management, or project commercial roles, preferably in energy storage (ESS/BESS), renewable energy, or infrastructure projects in the APAC region.
- Commercial & Negotiation Expertise: Proven experience in client-facing commercial negotiations, contract drafting and finalization, pricing strategy, and risk mitigation.
- Contract Management: Strong understanding of commercial and contractual terms, conditions, compliance, and legal requirements.
- Project & Bid Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids/projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and cross-functional alignment.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail; capable of evaluating financial, technical, and commercial risks.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, multicultural, and regional teams.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken), with ability to liaise effectively with APAC clients and internal stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle changing priorities.
