Hybrid (3 days WFO)


seeking a highly experienced Commercial Pharma Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep domain understanding of the pharmaceutical commercial model, business processes, data ecosystem, omnichannel capabilities, and the associated technology landscape—including AI/ML applications .


This individual will play a critical role in solutioning, accelerator development, proposal leadership, client discussions, and shaping our GTM strategy for commercial life sciences. The ideal candidate brings strong thought leadership, hands-on experience supporting commercial functions, and the ability to translate business challenges into scalable technology-enabled solutions.


Key Responsibilities

1. Domain Expertise & Thought Leadership

  • Serve as the commercial pharma domain authority across the vertical.
  • Bring expertise in key commercial functions, including:
  • HCP/HCO targeting & segmentation
  • Omnichannel / Next Best Action (NBA) engagement
  • Journey Orchestration & Analytics
  • Field Insights
  • Content Innovation
  • Patient services, HUB operations
  • Market access, payer analytics
  • Stay current on industry trends and evolving regulations

2. AI/ML & Technology Strategy

  • Translate commercial use cases into AI/ML-led accelerators , POCs, and reusable frameworks.
  • Guide data engineering, cloud, analytics, and digital product teams on aligning tech choices with commercial domain needs
  • Identify opportunities where emerging technologies—GenAI, NLP, automation, advanced analytics—can drive commercial value.

3. Solutioning & Accelerator Development

  • Lead design and development of reusable accelerators for commercial analytics, omnichannel orchestration, HCP journey insights, forecasting, and payer analytics.
  • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, design, and GTM teams to ensure accelerators are scalable and client-ready.
  • Create frameworks for value messaging, solution packaging, and differentiation in the market.

4. Proposal Leadership & Deal Support

  • Own the solutioning and response for RFPs, RFIs, and proactive proposals involving commercial life sciences.
  • Craft problem statements, approach narratives, case studies, and solution architectures.
  • Partner with pursuit leads, pricing teams, and account directors to position Marlabs as a strategic partner.
  • Participate in oral presentations, capability pitches, and workshops with senior stakeholders at client organizations.

5. Client Engagement & Delivery Support

  • Act as the trusted advisor for commercial data, analytics, and digital transformation conversations.
  • Lead discovery sessions, maturity assessments, and roadmap exercises with clients.
  • Bridge domain and technical teams to ensure delivery alignment with business expectations.
  • Support pilot/POC delivery and ensure value articulation to drive scaling.


Qualifications

Required

  • 10–15+ years of experience in Pharma Commercial domain roles, consulting, or analytics-led engagements.
  • Hands-on understanding of commercial workflows, data flows, KPIs, and field force processes.
  • Experience working with data ecosystems
  • Demonstrated experience designing or overseeing AI/ML-driven commercial analytics solutions (e.g., targeting, omnichannel NBA, forecasting models, patient journey analytics).
  • Strong ability to convert domain problems into solution architectures and compelling proposals.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and senior stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Understanding of global commercial models (US + ex-US).
