Overview

Commis Chef – Pastry prepares and presents pastry and bakery items in line with Hyatt standards. This role supports the Pastry team in delivering innovative, high-quality desserts, breads, and baked goods, ensuring consistency, food safety, and an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing a wide variety of pastries, baked goods, desserts, and confections according to standard recipes and presentations.
  • Ensure mise en place is completed for daily operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry kitchen in compliance with HACCP and hotel standards.
  • Assist senior chefs in developing new pastry items and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
  • Support with banquet, restaurant, and in-room dining pastry production as required.
