Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced South Indian Chef specializing in traditional and contemporary dishes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hot dishes such as sauces, soups, main courses and accompaniments according to menu specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in mise en place, portioning ingredients and assembly of menu items for service within the hot kitchen section.
- Support Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in the efficient running of kitchen operations.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly; report defects or hazards as required.
- Keep workstations, hot kitchen areas, equipment and storage areas clean, organised and presentable.
- Adhere to recipe guidelines, portion control measures and wastage minimisation policies.
