FFA Analyst – Cross-Commodity Pod
Location: Shanghai / Dubai / Singapore
A leading global multi-strategy investment platform is seeking an FFA Analyst to join an established cross-commodity pod, with a core focus on dry bulk shipping, freight derivatives, and related energy inputs.
The role sits directly with the PM and supports trade idea generation, strategy development, and risk monitoring across the FFA curve, with active exposure to cross-commodity relationships between freight, commodities, bunkers, rates, and macro drivers.
Responsibilities
Analyse dry bulk freight markets (Capesize, Panamax, Supramax, Handysize)
Monitor supply/demand, fleet dynamics, congestion, and macro drivers
Develop and support directional and relative-value trading strategies in FFAs
Conduct cross-commodity / cross-barrel analysis, including bunker costs and fuel spreads
Support position monitoring, PnL attribution, and risk reporting across the pod
