COMMUNICATIONS OPERATOR/DISPATCHER, POLICE DEPARTMENT
$41,972 - $45,432 annual salary, $20.18 - $21.84 per hour

Communications Operators work in a twenty-four (24)-hour per day, seven (7)-day per week emergency dispatch center, taking both police and fire calls for service and dispatching the appropriate service calls. They answer equipment (phones, radios, and E911 calls) to receive and/or respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance/information from officers and the general public to assist in the protection of life and property. Operators are accountable to and work under the direction of the Police Chief.
