headspace aims to support young people to achieve good mental health and wellbeing by:

Promoting connection, purpose, and positive mental health practices

Supporting young people and their families to build knowledge and skills to maintain good mental health

Strengthening young people’s connection to culture, identity, and community

Reducing stigma associated with mental health and help-seeking

Providing safe, welcoming environments where young people feel comfortable seeking support

Ensuring young people can access the right supports, at the right time, and in ways that suit their needs and preferences
headspace Griffith has the opportunity for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join their team
Working within a supportive team, your role will be to develop, deliver and evaluate awareness raising, community engagement, and youth participation activities in the local area with a focus on promoting early help-seeking for mental health, drug and alcohol, and other health/social issues facing young people.
As the Community Awareness Coordinator, it is not essential, but preferred, to hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the development, implementation and evaluation of community awareness programs.
