Overview

Reporting to the Director of Library Services, the Community Engagement Librarian is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and assessment of public programming and outreach services that are relevant and valuable to the community and that advance the library’s strategic plan and organizational goals. They oversee the direction of programming and marketing staff, and support and lead their team to operate effectively and efficiently. They ensure that programming and outreach initiatives, as well as marketing and communications, support the library’s mission, vision, and strategic direction. They advocate for programs and outreach services within the library, and within the community. They also lead initiatives that uphold the library’s commitment to Reconciliation.
